Serendipity Press is the small press imprint of Julie Caves, book artist and painter, in NorthEast London.
An artists’ book can be about a big universal idea or about a funny little thing you noticed. The best artists’ books are probably a bit of both: silly, cheerful or funny on the surface but also showing you something more.

Nice informative site! I am a book artist, too and would like to make links within the bookarts. I’m not sure if we have met, but we probably have! I’ve been to the last 2 LABS (shame about the abrubt interruption there), plus Press & Release fair, and the first BABE (not to mention a few other events and projects) Though, I still consider myself a relative newcomer. Just thought it would be nice to introduce myself, and maybe see you at Manchester in Nov, or BABE next year.
All the best,
Leslie Wilson-Rutterford

Hi Leslie!
Very nice to meet you!
We may have met in passing at the fairs. I will be at BABE so let’s look for each other there.
I am a relative newcomer myself. Most everyone I know has been at it longer than I have! Have you been to Artist Books 3.0 yet? It might be a good place for you to link up with some other book artists.
I like your website.
Take care,
Julie
Hi, I’m a newcomer to the concept of Artist books/book art. I’ve been fortunate enough to be able to view some of the books in the collection at Winchester School of Art. I am at present gathering bits and peices of info to include in a book of my own.

Hello Julie,
I am a visual artist who makes books as part of my practise from time to time, I only have one on my website at the moment, I have another to photograph, hopefully this week.

I made my first book 15 years ago and then my time got taken up with painting and printmaking. I recently got back into making books and I stumbled across your site. It seems to be a door into the fabulous work of artists’ books. I will definately be coming back to your site and to some of your links.
I really enjoyed looking at your books, and Leslie’s too
kind regards
